hmm

well.. it seems like you haven't been using FL for very long, but i would advise using some more originality in your selection of samples and their placement. these were all fairly generic basses and drums, try to find some cooler, more unique sounds. and try not to make everything in the step sequencer, as it confines you to quarter beats. use the piano roll and the cut [razor] tool for some truly original/abstract sounds and a better overall feel. ...good start though, nothing terribly horrendous about this one, i guess.

interesting

this was pretty good, and has a lot of potential. a shorter intro, along with shorter interludes between your fast-breaking drumloops would've kept my attention better. also, break those beats - add a few drops and breaks to spice 16 straight drumloops up.

overall, this was quality. keep it up.

nice work

i liked this track. it had a sort of mortal kombat feel with the high strings at the end of the first build. it seemed a little grainy or something, maybe you could increase the size and quality, since it was less than 1mb as is. overall, it was a good listen. keep up the good work.

nice ballads

very melodic. i like it. sorta between genres, and i really liked the use of more classical instruments. nice work.

RyeGuyHead responds:

is that a yes or no for part two?

i like this one, too.

you're getting better fast, keep it up. i like the variety of loops you went through on this track. the drums/beats were a little weak, but with this type of music, the beats don't matter much as long as they're hitting. very nice.

Darkvampiire responds:

Well thank u a lot its nice to see when ppl like ur work! I hope I can keep the good work!
Thanks

this was really really awesome

hahaha, awesome. DESTRUCTION!

<sry for bashing your latest, this one is much cooler>

scary

this made me shudder. seriously. that deep filtered voice gave me the creeps.

Ratjuice responds:

thanx man

unoriginal

this is nothing more than the DL_Deadmaus drumloop from FL Studio. adding a snare and a few extra kicks doesn't make it anything more. make your own music.

hmm

i clicked play and then went off and started doing something else on the computer, and even though your track didnt seem too special at first, it kinda ingrained itself in my subconscious or something, cause im starting to like it after like the fifth listen. haha, i guess it grows on you. nice work.

crud responds:

I find i'm the same way with any kind of new music, it has to grow on you, so you can listen to it after a while and note its intricacies ( is that a word??) and details that add to the overall flavor. I hope you got a chance to get that with my song. I'm glad it grew on you, like a smile grows on someone on luaghing gas.

awesome

this was really cool. i wasn't sure what was going to come, with the ambient rain and thunder, but when it started kicking, i really digged it. had me bobbing my head. that was some sweet heavy industrial, just wish it was longer, man.

also, a wee bit staticky on the first heavy beats, dont know if that was quality reduction or your feel, cause it fit fine when it all came together. just those first 8 or so were off.

all in all, that was sick.

AznPB responds:

Thank for review Inept. Yeah, it was sort of staticky as you said and some of my sliced samples were clipping like the guitar. And if I must say so myself,. I think this is sick too. And yes, I know this is short and I'm hoping to add more to it soon...

i mostly just browse, review, submit in the audio portal on this site. currently using FL studio 4.1.0 producer edition, but i've messed with quite a few others.
